How to lead a spiritual life
Even in everyday practical matters, a minimum level of eligibility is necessary. Daily Sandhya is required for rituals and Purascharana. Worship of the household deities is essential for performing the occasional Satyanarayan puja, the worship and anointment of the family deity, etc. Ekadashi fasting should be observed first before various other fasts. Unlike other fasts, Ekadashi fasting is not required. It is applicable from birth. Even if someone has performed the Udyapan (Udyapan) of Ekadashi fasting, this fast must be observed. Of these, the Shukla Ekadashi fast cannot be abandoned under any circumstances.
If there is a possibility of deterioration in health due to fasting, observe Ekadashi fasting by consuming fruits, juices, and liquids. Furthermore, Sandhya, Puja, and Vishwadevi rituals can be performed in minimal time. Some sects have alternatives for Sandhya. Those belonging to the Warkari sect can attain the fruits of Sandhya Karma by reciting the "Hari Path" and those belonging to the Ramdasi sect can attain the fruits of Sandhya Karma by reciting the "Manache Shloka." The alternative to worship is for one member of the family to offer flowers, light incense sticks, and mentally offer their salutations. This will also grant them the fruits of worship. If the method of worshipping Vaishvadev is unknown, daily offerings of cow grass and food to animals and birds can also yield the fruits of worship.
In this way, upon attaining the above-mentioned eligibility for following excellent conduct, the seeker progresses on the spiritual and spiritual path. Undertaking spiritual practice or worship without such eligibility creates numerous complications. This fosters ego and leads to an increase in hypocrisy in the context of spiritual practice.
