Is it possible to change destiny through devotion

'Prarabdha' means the deeds that have given us this body. Understanding the principles of karma makes it clear that the human life is not only a life of enjoyment but also a life of action. By making good use of this, a living being can change the direction of their enjoyment, i.e., destiny. This can be understood this way: to change the direction of an arrow fired from the front, another arrow must be used, but this task can be accomplished by another person. However, if this is not possible, the attack can be avoided by changing its location. If even this is not possible, the attack can be thwarted by using a shield or armor.

Prarabdha does not mean avoiding it, but rather not understanding it or not trying to avoid it. The mind is the foundation of knowledge of crisis. If this mind is destroyed, crises automatically disappear. The only means to calm the mind is remembering the Name.  Just as two swords cannot stay in one sheath, the mind cannot simultaneously hold two subjects. By inculcating the habit of chanting the Name of the Lord, it has no time to dwell on material matters and difficulties. This means that even when faced with a crisis, it ceases to have any impact. As per the law of destiny, when ego is diminished, material matters and difficulties cease to exist.

There are various steps to avoid difficulties. If a student who prays, "Oh God, please pass my exams. I will worship you and offer you Prasad," but does not pray even after passing the exam, he is a very low-class devotee. One who prays after making a vow and then performs the worship accordingly is a low-class devotee. A student who prays first, saying, "O God! Please pass me! I will worship you today," is truly a middle-class devotee.  "God! Either pass or fail, but if I fail, give me the strength to bear the pain of failure. I worship you from today for your sake," is a student who says this, but one who does not ask for anything and constantly remembers your name with a selfless spirit.A student who studies diligently is a high-class devotee. The state of God's devotees is like that of a newborn baby. As soon as a word comes out of his mouth, his mother rushes to him. The reason is that she is with him. Similarly, the words "trouble" and "relief" do not exist in the dictionary of a devotee who constantly remembers the name of God with a selfless mind. With God always present, his ego is completely destroyed, and trouble no longer approaches him.
