Which worship yields quick results

A person's worship depends on the environment in which they were raised. However, it can be broadly said that when a person obtains what they desire, they find satisfaction. Worship is essential for the advancement of the fourfold pursuits of Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. Nowadays, everyone feels the need for wealth in abundance. Along with this, there is also a desire for relief from troubles. In keeping with past and future traditions, wise men have described worship as having fourfold pursuits. Some worships are monotheistic, while others are all-encompassing.

Generally, worship of a virtuous person, like a chosen deity, for physical purity, bathing, family welfare, family dharma, family traditions, worship of gods, the five great sacrifices, mental development, spiritual progress, and adherence to truth and non-violence, yields quick results.  First decide whether the saint chosen for worship is so-called or is actually an incarnation. Worship of a saint who is engrossed in continuous contemplation and who, having renounced all worldly attachments, is engaged in works for the welfare of the world, leads to the path of prosperity and salvation. That is, if the devotee disregards the family deity, he always fails.

To get quick results, examine the path of worship thoroughly; it should not be broken. Even if the worship is appropriate, if it is changed repeatedly, its merit is not obtained. On the contrary, those who perform the chosen worship with faith, devotion and uninterruptedly, make good progress in worldly and spiritual paths.
